Luke van Hengel

Luke van Hengel is Executive Vice President, Commercial Strategy & Operations at Parexel responsible for Sales Support, Proposals, Contracts, Budgets and Commercial Strategy. Luke oversees the commercial-related aspects of the core systems and processes that underpin delivery of Parexel solutions, focusing on ways to improve hit rates and streamline budgets and contracts.

Luke has more than 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry ranging from finance to account management, contracts and strategic resourcing. He led the setup of the strategic account management program at Parexel and has been directly involved in the establishment of the majority of Parexel’s largest customers. Luke was part of the core team leading a companywide commercial reorganization and is leading the rollout of a companywide project portfolio management deployment.

Luke earned a Master of Business Administration as well as a certification in clinical pharmacology, drug development and regulations from Tufts University.
